We took a deteriorating one-story commercial plaza and replaced it with three two-story buildings containing five town homes. The red one is a standalone town home; the other two buildings each contain two of the other four town homes.

The lot’s location in a historic district required that we meet the architectural and landscaping guidelines of the local historic commission. The buildings were constructed using only historical styles and colors, including a copper roof over the front watershed, which matched the downspouts. The buildings were also positioned to give depth to the streetscape and avoid a row house look.
