Historical Restoration - Watertown, Massachusetts

CoTY Award Winner for 2008

“Gold - Commercial Specialty”

The focus of this project was preservation, as we converted an out-of-use church that had historical and architectural value into nine condominiums. All of the German wood in the church was preserved and reused, while the wooden doors, windows and openings were completely restored to their original magnificence. The church’s signature archways are visible from the mezzanine in each of the units.

Seven multi-level units were constructed in the main church building and two were built in the adjacent rectory, each ranging in size from 1900 to 3500 square feet. Parking for the residences was built underground in order to maintain the overall beauty of the site.
